Senior Land Survey Technician
Waverley Court

Salary: £37,626 - £44,257
Hours: 36 per week, 52 weeks

The Council is seeking a confident, personable and enthusiastic person to work within the Council’s Land Survey Team.

This team is responsible for surveying buildings and sites, taking detailed measurements and topographical data and then preparing plans from the survey data. Plans are prepared for a variety of purposes including sales, leases, servitudes, Compulsory Purchase Orders, committee reports and valuations. The team also researches then establishes on site the precise location of legal boundaries and assists in boundary disputes.

You should be educated to HND or equivalent level in Topographic Studies or a property related discipline, have an Associate membership with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (or equivalent)and have significant, relevant work experience. Good attention to detail is essential along with excellent technical, organisational and communication skills.

You should be proficient in land surveying techniques, the use of laser measuring devices and theodolites and draftsmanship. You should also be very experienced in the use of CAD systems including Microstation and AutoCAD as well as GIS mapping systems. The ability to use databases and Microsoft Office applications is also key.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
