Contract Type: Full-time, Ongoing (with planning and preparation responsibilities)

A welcoming and supportive primary school in Solihull (B90) is seeking a committed and enthusiastic KS1 Class Teacher to join their team from September 2025. This is a full-time role with full classroom teaching responsibilities, including planning, preparation, delivery, marking, and assessment.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a creative and nurturing teacher to make a real impact in a Key Stage 1 setting, within a school that prioritises high standards, collaboration, and pupil well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that align with the KS1 curriculum


  • Take full responsibility for the class, including planning, preparation, marking, assessment, and reporting


  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment that promotes confidence and independence


  • Use a range of assessments to monitor progress and inform future teaching


  • Work closely with year group colleagues, teaching assistants, and senior leaders


  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers to support each child’s development


  • Attend staff meetings, year group planning, and CPD sessions


    Requirements:
    • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential


    • Recent experience teaching in Key Stage 1, ideally in Year 1 or Year 2


    • Strong understanding of early literacy, numeracy, and phonics development


    • High expectations for behaviour and learning


    • Reflective, organised, and passionate about teaching


    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
