Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented SEND Tribunal Officer WCR 4 to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a vital part in the Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Tribunal process, ensuring that hearings are conducted fairly and efficiently. As part of our commitment to providing high-quality services to families and educational institutions, you will be responsible for managing cases, preparing documentation, and facilitating communication between involved parties. Your expertise will contribute to the effective resolution of disputes involving children and young people with special educational needs, enhancing their educational experiences. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a deep understanding of SEND legislation and procedures. You will work closely with legal representatives, educational professionals, and families to navigate complex cases and provide clear guidance. Responsibilities
Manage a caseload of SEND Tribunal cases from receipt to resolution.
Prepare and review documentation required for Tribunal hearings.
Liaise with families, legal representatives, and educational institutions to gather relevant information.
Facilitate the scheduling of hearings and coordinate necessary logistics.
Provide clear guidance to all parties involved on Tribunal procedures and requirements.
Conduct thorough research on relevant laws and best practices regarding SEND issues.
Prepare detailed reports and summaries post-hearing for record-keeping purposes.
Requirements
A degree in law, education, social work, or a related field is preferred.
Strong understanding of SEND legislation and tribunal processes.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Demonstrated ability to manage a caseload effectively.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
Proficiency in case management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
