Summary
Join our dynamic team for this exciting opportunity to develop the Dietetics service in Forensic Mental Health and play a key role in tackling health inequalities. This is a 12- months, fixed term role. The successful candidate will work across our low and medium secure forensic hospitals in East London. They will build on existing Dietetic structures, with the opportunity to develop a professional network, create high quality training and manage a complex caseload, alongside a strong physical health team across the hospitals. The successful candidate will access excellent clinical supervision from the Dietetics lead for the Trust.
We have strong professional links to Dietetics teams across ELFT; for additional networking, support and CPD opportunities. Our service is highly supportive of training and CPD opportunities, for professional and career development.

To develop and lead a nutrition and dietetic service to the ELFT Forensic Mental Health Inpatient Services. To provide expert specialist advice to the service & wider Trust and support staff in the delivery of food and nutrition policies.
1. To lead the development, implementation and provision of a specialist evidence based nutrition and dietetic service to adult forensic inpatients.
2. To take a lead role provide specialist nutrition assessment and care plans for service users.
3. To contribute to the development and implementation of clinical standards, policies and procedures for the service.
4. To participate in the training of dietetic students and health care professionals in specified areas of nutrition and dietetics.
5. To be actively involved in continuing professional development.
6. To lead on specific clinical audit projects and contribute to research to inform clinical governance strategy, service development and evidence based practice.
7. To educate, train and disseminate information to all healthcare professionals providing nutritional advice for patients.
8. To develop and lead nutritional and educational groups for patients across the service
