We are seeking two motivated Assistant Psychologists to join our Newham Emotional and Behavioral (E&B) team working in Front Door Team (FDT) and Neurodevelopmental Team (NDT). One post holder will support the clinical work of the FDT by supporting the processing of new referrals, liaising with referrers, assisting with consultations and contributing to the screening pathway for ADHD and Autism.
The other post holder will support clinicians to provide a specialist service within CAMHS to neurodivergent children, young people and their families. This is a community-based post offering evidence-based episodes of care, via assessments, formulation and group/individual interventions.
The successful candidates will also be offered opportunities to learn and consolidate clinical skills in a range of modalities and through quality clinical supervision, weekly with a clinical psychologist.There will also be opportunities to co-run workshops and groups within the service. There will also be the opportunity to shadow and/or complete psychometric testing under supervision and work closely with FDT/ NDT Clinical Leads to support audits and data management.
The post holders will directly contribute to the positive working environment within the multi-disciplinary team and some specialist pathway work as required. This position will offer valuable experience for those aspiring to pursue a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, with opportunities for professional development and supervision.
