Crynodeb

EQUIP offers a service to adult residents of Hackney and the City aged 18 – 65 following a first episode of psychosis. The team also works closely with the Early Detection Service, Heads Up, which offers a service for people who are at risk of developing psychosis. The teams work with diagnostic uncertainty and focus on addressing the associated distress and disability.

The purpose is to minimise the risk of future breakdowns and maximise the quality of life for the individual. This is achieved by working in active partnership with service users, carers and with local voluntary and community groups, in addition to statutory services. The post holder will work alongside clinical psychologists already in post to support individuals and their families in line with NICE guidelines for psychosis and schizophrenia, as well as be jointly responsible for the operational delivery of psychology provision with the other senior psychologists within the team. The post holder will receive specialist supervision and support from the wider City and Hackney Psychology department.

Our mission is to make a positive difference to people's lives by improving the quality of life for all we serve. Our values are: We Care, We Respect, We are Inclusive – so we are looking for people who live and breathe these qualities when supporting service users and carers, and in their relationships with colleagues in the Trust and our partner organisations.

Please see attached Job Description & Person Specification for full details.
