Summary


You will be working for One Lancashire and South Cumbria (One LSC) Digital Data and Technology supporting Lancashire Teaching Hospital as part of our IT Systems Management Team.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join our team comprising of technical and clinical roles. You will be part of a systems management team and your main focus will be supporting the day to day running of clinical systems, troubleshooting issues and supporting clinical users of the systems. It will also be expected that the post holder will engage in projects related to their area when needed.

We are looking for an experienced IT professional with solid experience in successfully managing Clinical systems.

We need you to contribute to improved utilisation of Clinical Applications at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals for the benefit of our patients, reducing wait times and improving financial outcomes.

You will have responsibility for daily administration, on-going support and maintenance of Pathology systems across Royal Preston Hospital and Chorley District Hospital, including data input and reporting.

Provide technical support and advice to end users, of all disciplines, and departments.

You will be part of the Enterprise Wide Applications team and will be expected to work closely with other Digital teams, Clinical and Operational staff within the organisation.

In addition you will lead in all areas relating to system administration and also be involved in any projects and changes that happen for systems. This includes liaising with the system provider in regards to upgrades, potential system developments and business as usual issues.

To liaise closely with Operational colleagues to ensure business as usual is followed correctly, to encourage system use for all admin and clinical staff and assist in any changes to standard operating procedures and keep updated with business and usual with all stakeholders.

Manage day to day operations, system issues and data quality/information governance issues.

The Clinical Applications System Specialist role will have responsibility for the daily management of key IT systems.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Support the Informatics Manager with projects related toDigital, Data and Technology(DDaT)
• Responsible for administrative duties relating to maintenance and development of various pathology systems
• Management of patient data sent to pathology systems from the Electronic Patient Record (EPR)
• Training of data input/telephone enquiry staff
• General administrative duties as directed by the Informatics Manager
• Production and development of a range of statistical information and reports as required
