Scottish Power Renewables are looking for a Lead Installation Manager to join their East Anglia 1 North project, based in either London or Glasgow.

Role: Lead Installation Manager
Business: Scottish Power Renewables - EA1N
Duration: contract until 31/12/2025 with renewal in line with the project
Location: London or Glasgow/hybrid style working
Rate: Inside IR35, Umbrella and PAYE options available

Main Purpose of Job
The Lead WTG Installation Manager shall be responsible for developing and delivering the WTG transport and installation (T&I) strategy for a project within the Company’s portfolio, be it a development, pre-FID or execution project. In addition, the successful candidate shall deliver the WTG T&I work packages during the Tariff and pre-FID stages. As the project progresses into the execution stage the Lead Installation Manager shall take overall responsibility for the management of the WTG T&I Works.
Key Tasks
The Installation Manager shall be directly responsible for the safe and efficient completion of the Transportation and Installation (T&I) work-package throughout the project lifecycle, this shall include responsibility for:

• Tariff Stage
• Development of Conceptual Design for T&I
• Development and upkeep of a base case construction programme
• Creation of the Employer’s Technical Requirements for T&I with the OEM (WTG Supplier)
• Technical Evaluation of bids and participation in contract negotiations
• Reserve an installation vessel capable of executing the WTG T&I scope of work.


Key Criteria
Minimum 10 years’ experience in offshore wind or subsea discipline, with 3 years’ experience as senior installation engineer level or equivalent.
Proven track record of safely managing the execution of complex offshore works in hazardous marine environments.

Demonstrable experiences in:

• engineering design
• production of specification and tender documents
• contracts (/subcontracts) negotiations (technical aspects)
• construction planning
• budgetary estimations


Working knowledge and understanding of:

• UK and European Health and Safety legislation relevant to marine operations
• DNV standards for offshore wind
• CDM 2015 Regulations
• Construction planning, Estimations & Risk Management
• Commercial awareness (incl. FIDIC & BIMCO contracts).


Skills

• Management of interfaces of multidisciplinary teams spread across multiple locations
• Experience of being a team player working in a multi-cultural organisation and awareness of diversity & inclusion
• Ability to implement quality assurance and environmental processes
• Highly developed communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, particularly related to multicultural relationships, and ability to present effectively to management teams
• Excellent negotiation and influencing skills
• Advanced user of Microsoft office applications.
