Are you a qualified Health & Safety Practitioner with experience in a wide range of health and safety matters? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you.

In this role, you will be integral in developing, promoting, and implementing our health and safety management framework to ensure the Council meets its statutory responsibilities under Health & Safety legislation. You will provide Health and Safety advice across a diverse range of service areas supporting safe and healthy workplaces.

You will possess the Diploma in NEBOSH in Occupational Health & Safety Management (or equivalent) and bring up to date knowledge of Health & Safety regulations. You will have experience of health and safety across a range of relevant disciplines, ideally within a local authority. You will also be able to demonstrate computer literacy and experience using MS office packages, particularly excel along with the ability to manage and administer a Health & Safety software package. Experience of working with the Evotix Assure Safety Management system would be preferred.

This post is permanent full-time, and you will work 37 hours per week.
