JOB DESCRIPTION: Volunteer Youth Mission Coordinator (Unpaid)

JOB OVERVIEW:

City of Praise International Ministries, a vibrant church based in Bellingham, UK, is seeking skilled and passionate Volunteer Charity Workers to support its Faith, Youth & Family Mission Outreach Project. This is a structured, time-limited ministry initiative focused on discipling young people and supporting families within a multi-ethnic, urban community.

Volunteers will assist in delivering faith-based workshops, organising youth gatherings, and participating in outreach activities that promote spiritual growth, biblical teaching, and Christian fellowship. This is a voluntary, unpaid position

The church will provide maintenance and the cost of living. Working 30 hours per week and the role will require weekend working.
Length of contract: Initially for 1 year.

PRIMARY ROLE:
Supporting the lead minister in delivering the Youth & Family Mission Outreach Project, in alignment with the church’s vision under COPIM. This includes engaging directly with young people and families through faith-based activities, mentorship, and discipleship events.


DUTIES INCLUDES:
• Support the coordination and delivery of youth discipleship programmes and family-based Bible study sessions.
• Assist in community outreach events aimed at connecting with unchurched young people and families..
• Lead or support group discussions on faith, identity, emotional healing, and purpose from a biblical perspective.
• Participate in faith-based initiatives such as youth music worship nights, prayer walks, and themed retreats.
• Provide mentorship to young people in partnership with church leaders and ministry staff.
• Support the development of creative outreach methods, including digital engagement and in-person evangelism.

QUALIFICATIONS:
The Candidate should have excellent communication and listening skills, initiative, enthusiasm and motivation, good organisational and planning skills, good negotiating skills, and commitment to equal opportunities, also have IT skills in Word and Excel.

A heart for ministry and a willingness to serve young people and families. A strong knowledge and ability to speak, read, and write in English and a second language would be a plus, with cultural sensitivity. Experience in youth ministry, evangelism, or church-based outreach (Pentecostal background preferred).
