Job Introduction
Here at Wythenshawe Hospital we are looking for a organised and proactive individual to join our FM team as an Operations coordinator. Reporting into the Operations manager you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of facilities management at Wythenshawe hospital, ensuring all subcontractors meet their required planned maintenance programme, reactive works are completed in a timely manner and that all associated documents are correctly stored.
What You'll Do:
- Coordinate planned maintenance by confirming contractor schedules, access with facility users, and permit requirements with the Authorised Person.
- Keep the relevant operational manager informed throughout all planned work stages.
- Collect and file subcontractor worksheets, highlight recommendations/repairs, and share with Operations Managers; ensure records are stored in the CAFM system.
- Raise orders for approved works and maintain the office filing system for all maintenance records (statutory and non-statutory).
- Review legionella reports from specialists and escalate to Operations Managers for any necessary actions.
- Attend meetings, provide helpdesk cover when needed, and undertake role-related training as required.
- Comply with Trust policies to reduce healthcare-associated infections, including attending induction training and maintaining hand hygiene standards.
- Take personal responsibility for fulfilling all duties effectively and in line with Trust policies and procedures.
What You Bring:
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Ability to priorities, work to tight deadlines, both prescribed and self – imposed.
- Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships at all levels.
- Excellent communicator including factual report writing
