The role
As Fleet Programmes Risk and Change Control Manager you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You will be responsible for leading the Risk and Change Controls disciplines within the Fleet Operations Directorate whilst providing Risk management leadership for the site and is accountable for the performance and results of these functions within the Babcock Role Framework Project Management role family.
This is an area manager role within the central hub of the Fleet Operations project and operations matrix model providing Risk and Change Control to ensure alignment with Group policy and Business Contractual requirements.

Day-to-day, you'll be responsible for:

  • Leadership of Fleet Operations Risk and Change Control Management
  • Fleet Operations Business and Customer Interface for Risk and Change
  • Internal assurance activities including audits to advance continuous improvement
  • Management and Delivery of Fleet Operations Risk and Change Policy
  • Application of Babcock's Principles in people and stakeholder management

This role is full time 36 hours per week and is based mainly in Faslane with the hybrid working arrangements.

Essential experience of Fleet Programmes Risk and Change Control

  • Extensive Risk and Change Control knowledge and experience
  • Hold membership of a relevant body (RICS/CIOB/CIBSE/APM/PMI)
  • Hold a level 5 or above Leadership and Management qualification

Qualifications for the Fleet Programmes Risk and Change Control

  • Degree BSc - Business Degree (finance / Accountancy or other relevant subject) or equivalent.
  • Experience - In addition to the above, the candidate will have significant experience with responsibility for control functions of major projects
  • Chartered or working towards chartered status with a relevant body
  • APM Project Management Qualification

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
