Summary
Provide a 24-hour operations and information room service to the Ministry of Defence Police (MDP) acting as a focal point of contact for police officers and business stakeholders. Disseminate information and commands on behalf of the Senior Duty Officer, Force Incident Manager and Shift Supervisor. Monitor and operate the Force Command, Control, Communication and Crime recording systems, MDP radio network and telephony. Accurately record information onto the Force Incident recording system. Work in conjunction with partner agencies in response to events and incidents occurring. Maintain business administration documents and support the control room supervisor.
Understand and implement the health and safety responsibilities of the post in compliance with the Chief Constables H&S Policy statement. Ensure the requirements of the Data Protection act are applied to all data processed and adhere to policy for the retention of data held. Mentor other staff in the role as required. Attend court as a witness and to provide evidence in connection with the duties of the post. Will be responsible for assessing and self-managing risk within all aspects of the role. The above accountabilities and responsibilities are not exhaustive, and the Jobholder may be required to undertake additional duties that are consistent with the level and grading of the role.
