About the role
We have an exciting opportunity here within our Distribution Insight function for a Insight Analyst to join a successful team!
As a Distribution Insight Analyst you will be responsible for crafting, designing and maintaining data pipelines, excel reports, excel automation macros and Tableau reports.
The Distribution Insight team sit within Distribution & Fulfilment and are responsible for providing insight and reports to distribution teams including The Big 6, The Weekly Performance Pack and Safety.
We also support the Network Planning teams with data management and streamlining their processes.
Please be aware this role is based at our Daventry Support Office, NorthamptonshireNN6 7GY.
You will be responsible for
- Supporting the development of new reports and processes when operational needs arise.
- Improving dependency on TAP and removing standalone SQL Server systems.
- Supporting the existing spreadsheets and macros to ensure any changes are coordinated with no impact to current operations.
- Providing contingency and backup for departmental systems to secure against data loss and system failure.
- Assisting the Network Planning team with data sourcing when required.
You will need
- Experience with sophisticated SQL statements in SQL Server / Hadoop / Teradata.
- Experience crafting data visualisation Dashboards in Tableau Microsoft Excel VBA, sophisticated pivot tables and slicers.
- Ability to manipulate data and leading data pipelines.
- Knowledge of databases and how data is structured.
- Data-driven mind-set with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Skills in deriving insight from data and identifying new visualisations to show this.
- Good communication skills and engagement with partners.
- Ability to plan and prioritise workload.
- Good attention to detail.
