Summary
A part-time Receptionist post of 22.hours a week has become available
The post holder will be responsible for the provision of a high-quality service for the busy older adult outpatient clinic and day service at Heavers Resource Centre, 122 Selhurst Road, South Norwood, SE 25 6LL.
They will also work with other administrative colleagues in order to support the Croydon Memory Service by undertaking typing of appointments, call reminders and other suitable administrative tasks if and when required.
They will need to be able to prioritise their workload and use their own initiative when dealing with queries from health professional and members of the public, promoting a professional and caring image of the services.
Working closely with the Line Manager
Keeping the reception area clean and tidy.
Ensure the rooms are clean tidy for patient and professionals.
Call reminders to patients
Welcoming patients and visitors.
Informing staff of arrival of patients or visitors
Completing and sending You Said We did
Sending out PEDIC
Placing on referrals if and when required to support administrators.
Liaison with Eldon staff
Take the post for both CMS and CMHT.

Its portfolio of services includes community and day services, in-patient, continuing care as well as range of specialist provision. The Directorate has a budge of of just over 27 million GBP and employs about 550 staff.
Croydon Mental Health Teams for Older Adults provide specialist mental health care for older people with mental health needs and those less than 65 years with dementia in the Croydon area.
Clinic reception duties: Receive and greet service users and visitors to the outpatient clinic in an efficient, calm, tactful and courteous manner. Immediately inform the relevant members of staff of their arrival , keeping patients informed of any delays to their appointment.
To ensure the waiting areas are checked daily and are tidy, safe, comfortable and ready for use
To deal professional with queries from visitors and telephone callers, ensuring messages are delivered accurately and efficiently. Resolve issues and use initiative to take up follow-up actions when appropriate, Record message on electronic Patient Journey when applicable.
To be the point of contact for all appointment in the clinic rooms and group room. Keeping a clear records of appointments made. Keep clear records of booking for the meeting rooms.
Deal with deliveries to any of the team in the building and liaising the the relevant administrators to ensure deliveries are signed by the appropriate team.
Health and Safety: Report any maintenance issues that may arise in the Out-Patient areas.
To be a Fire Warden and undertake the necessary training every two years.
Training: To ensure all mandatory training is kept up to date and to participate in any additional training and developmental needs as required by the Business and Team Managers
To work in a flexible and open manner in line with the needs of the service.. Attend regular supervision and annual appraisal meetings. To undertake any other duties considered relevant by the management of Croydon and community services appropriate to the banding of the post, as negotiated with the Business Manager.
