Working directly with the Chief Underwriting officer and managing a team of Underwriters this role will focus on overseeing underwriting performance for a portion of CCP's global insurance business, and ensuring accurate and compliant processing of new, renewal, and midterm submissions.

Essential functions of this role will include but are not limited to:

Working with Actuarial / Pricing personnel to review their pricing calculations and to ensure that the prices calculated are appropriate as well as producing quarterly updates and reports.
Maintain a constant focus on the underwriting profitability of all programmes with a view of achieving company profit objectives.
Carry out a monthly review of underwriting performance on all allocated programmes and to identify in writing key movements arising each month and any action required as a result.
Co-ordinate annual reviews of all allocated programmes to ensure that any changes in customer requirements are identified and calculated.
To identify improvements in systems and procedures both within CCPI and its partners.

Previous experience within a senior underwriting role where you have led and had to make complex decisions based on strategic analysis of market trends is key. Knowledge of the motor sector – including fleet or warranty is a must as is the ability to lead a team with support and confidence.

Successful candidates will also be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills – both verbal and written – as well as strong organisational skills, financial acumen, flexibility in the way you work as well as a true passion for working with people and understanding the importance of building relationships.
