We have a fantastic opportunity for an Intelligence Researcher (ANPR) within our Force Intelligence Function. This vital role is at the heart of intelligence-led policing, providing critical insights to combat crime and understand offender behaviour. As part of the Specialist Intelligence Unit and Hub Intelligence Team, you'll research and analyse information from a variety of sources, with a particular focus on ANPR intelligence. Your findings will help identify potential threats and opportunities, using the THRIVE principles (threat, harm, risk, investigation, vulnerability, and engagement), and will support the development of intelligence and briefing materials.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in evaluating information to support decision-making, as well as strong research and problem-solving skills. You’ll also need to produce high-quality written reports and deliver verbal briefings with clarity and precision. Confidentiality is key in this role, alongside the ability to collaborate effectively within a team. While not essential, experience in an intelligence role and knowledge of the National Intelligence Model within law enforcement would be advantageous.

If you’re ready to make an impact and contribute to our mission of delivering intelligence-led policing, we’d love to hear from you. Apply now and be part of our dedicated team shaping the future of crime prevention.

Intelligence Researchers work office hours during Monday to Friday.
