Description
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Child Social Worker (CSW) to join our dynamic team within the Children in Need (CIN) of Support & Protection unit. This critical role plays a significant part in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people who are at risk or vulnerable. The ideal candidate will engage with families, children, and other professionals to assess needs, provide support, and ensure that children have the opportunity to thrive in a safe and nurturing environment. Working within a fast-paced environment, the CSW will be responsible for developing and implementing robust care plans that address the unique challenges faced by each child. This position requires strong analytical skills to evaluate complex situations and make informed decisions that prioritize the well-being of children. Responsibilities
Conduct assessments to identify the needs of children and families in crisis.
Develop and implement intervention strategies and care plans tailored to individual cases.
Work collaboratively with families, schools, and other agencies to provide holistic support.
Monitor the progress of children and families and adjust plans as necessary.
Prepare and present reports for court and child protection meetings.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss case progress and strategies.
Provide emotional support and guidance to children and their families during difficult times.
Requirements
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., degree in social work or equivalent).
Registration with a relevant social work regulatory body.
Experience working with children and families, particularly in child protection settings.
Strong understanding of child safeguarding legislation and best practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with diverse populations.
Ability to work under pressure while managing a caseload successfully.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and training.
Hours Per Week: 36.00
Start Time: 08:45
End Time: 17:00
Pay Per Hour: £27.00
