Skills & Experience required:

Educated to GCSE Level English and Mathematics 9 – 4 (or equivalent)
Level 2 qualification in Business Administration (or equivalent)
Experience of working in an office support role.
Experience of working with Microsoft packages, including Excel, Word,Outlook, MS Teams, SAP, and SharePoint.
Experience of working in a customer facing role, both internally and externally.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent telephone skills and telephone manner.



What's involved with this role: As a Day Services Business Support Assistant, you will deliver an efficient administration function within the service area. You will work as an integral member of the team to ensure effective, consistent, and essential support standards. You will undertake the day-to-day operational and financial administration within the service area.

You will support with enquiries from individuals attending the service, families, carers, contractors, and other professionals through face-to-face interactions, email, and telephone in a consistent and timely manner.

Key duties:

Provide effective administration to support service area activities and meet objectives.
Acknowledge and respond to enquiries and contacts in a timely and consistent manner.
Manage reception duties, including phone calls, visitor assistance, and maintaining visitor records.
Handle financial tasks such as processing invoices, resolving discrepancies, managing the amenity fund, reconciling petty cash, and performing banking tasks.
Input attendance records and book staff for corporate and service training, maintaining accurate records for audits.
Maintain accurate, accessible databases, including statistics, for the management team.
Follow a systematic approach to archiving and disposing of obsolete information.
