Crynodeb

To be responsible to the Pest Control Manager for the day to day delivery of the pest control service within Greenwich Council to ensure the provision of an effective quality service.
Main Duties:
To undertake surveys of individual or groups of properties, including testing drains and sewers as directed, to identify type and causes of infestation by rodents or other pests and decide on appropriate treatment to eradicate the problem.
To work as part of a team delivering high quality pest control and associated services to residential, commercial and industrial premises, including the undertaking of pest control treatments as directed.
To have working appreciation of all the repairs teams and work together in order to manage activities effectively within the Pest Control Team.
To be responsible for the effective use and deployment materials/equipment in accordance with relevant specifications as directed.
To collect payments for services from customers, issue receipts and keep transaction records in accordance with council procedures.
To be responsible for tracing, baiting, poisoning and trapping of rodents or other pests in domestic, business or public properties in accordance with current legislation, codes of practice and technical recommendations and to certify the abatement of reported infestations.
To assist in the organisation, and execution of pigeon/rodent proofing measures, including the cleansing and removal of bird/rodent faucal matter as and when required.
To collect, transport, cleanse, process or dispose of articles, including condemned food as directed.

NB: Submitted candidates must have possession of a Level 2 Certificate in Pest Control awarded by the Royal Society of Public Health, or equivalent body.

Candidates must also have possession of a full UK driving license to drive manual transmission vans (your license will be check for any motoring offence)
