Summary

We are seeking an experienced counsellor who: Has experience in assessing clients presenting with multiple and complex issues regarding suitability for Wellbeing interventions such as counselling, debrief, Mindfulness, or psychological education or referral to the Employee Assistance Programme, in line with the Wellbeing stepped care service model. Can select appropriate therapeutic intervention and make decisions regarding referrals to specialist treatment or other resources as appropriate. Can organise and manage own caseload ensuring throughput of clients through the service according to the wellbeing service stepped care model. Can assess elements of risk of harm to client/self/others/property and take action as appropriate. This may involve breaching client confidentiality in interest of client or wider legislation e.g. Childrens Act (2004); Drug Trafficking Act (1994); Road Traffic Act (2014); Counter Terrorism & Security Act (2015). Can deliver therapeutic packages to suit the needs of individual clients and group interventions where appropriate. Can offer face to face, telephone or on-line consultations to assess for suitability for the service. Has the ability to communicate complex, personal and sensitive information effectively across a wide range of groups (employees, line managers, GPs) in a variety of settings via formal psycho-educational presentations, interviews and telephone discussions, with empathy and enthusiasm. Can provide trauma focussed therapy to staff who are presenting with distress, or signs and symptoms of trauma responses. Contributes to and deliver interventions designed to improve organisational culture e.g. corporate induction, and to facilitate group based psychoeducative programmes e.g. Anxiety management, Managing Low Mood training, Building Resilience, Stress management courses.
