Sustainability Manager
£58,000 - £66,000 plus great benefits (Work Level 5)
Remote, based in Manchester with occasional travel to our Manchester city centre office where required
We're looking for a Sustainability Manager to join our Co-op Sustainability team. In this role, you'll help develop and deliver the Co-op sustainability strategy, reporting and governance activity. We'll look to you to work cross functionally with colleagues from across the business to create a One Co-op view of Sustainability activity and priorities to ensure Co-op remain on track to achieve our sustainability commitments and goals. What you'll do
- Manage the Co-op sustainability strategy and delivery plan to ensure activity aligns to our overarching goals and we meet our mandatory and voluntary commitments
- Co-ordinate Sustainability activity across the business, ensuring accurate reporting on workstream progress to support delivery of our Coop sustainability goals
- Support the management and evolution of pan Co-op governance structures and reporting to ensure regular progress updates to Op Board and Board
- Support the development of appropriate prioritisation approaches for sustainability activity across our Co-op
- Build positive relationships with internal partners, engaging with technical experts and translating information into clear and easy to understand language
- Lead working groups, and collaborate with colleagues and supply chains across multiple teams
- Nurture relationships with external stakeholders to build knowledge and understanding of market insight and innovations
This role would suit people who have
- The ability to build strong relationships with senior partners
- Excellent communication skills and to be able to deliver information easily and clearly
- Strong organisational skills
- Experience in change or project management with the ability to manage complex initiatives
- The ability to interpret data and generate insights
