Summary
The Estates Operations Manager will assist the Associate Director of Facilities in the effective delivery of the University’s Facilities and Operations areas.
Reporting to the Associate Director of Facilities, you will be expected to operate in a complex environment and working closely with internal colleagues, stakeholders, and external partners to ensure the management of facilities, operations, and projects across the estate are delivered in a compliant, safe and sustainable way. This includes managing Service Level Agreements with customers and suppliers, maintaining the awareness and needs of clients in relation to development of services and monitoring service performance to ensure targets and standards are met and maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Associate Director in the day-to-day operations through proactive issue resolution and continuous improvement.
- Assist the Associate Director to drive high performance, service excellence aligned to the university and estates strategy.
- Work closely with the Head of Facilities, Head of Security, and other department members to ensure service priorities and standards contribute positively to staff, students, and visitors
- Assist the Associate Director in working closely with Projects and Building Management team to ensure successful delivery of facilities and projects
- With support of the Associate Director, lead on contract management and service delivery of key Soft and Hard FM contracts
