Responsibilities
Conduct thorough surveys of buildings and sites to assess their condition and identify any defects.
Prepare detailed reports outlining findings, recommendations for repairs, and maintenance strategies.
Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards during the inspection process.
Collaborate with clients, construction professionals, and local authorities to facilitate project approvals and permits.
Provide expert advice on property maintenance, renovation, and improvement projects to clients.
Monitor construction activities to ensure adherence to plans, specifications, and industry standards.
Stay informed about new technologies, materials, and techniques in the building industry to enhance service delivery.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Building Surveying, Architecture, or a related field.
Professional accreditation or membership in a recognized surveying institution is preferred.
Proven experience in building surveying, property assessment, or a related area.
Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to spot potential issues and propose solutions.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for report writing and client interaction.
Proficiency in using surveying equipment and software tools for data analysis and presentation.
