Salary: £33,594 - £50,589
Hours: 35 per week

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic class teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching one of our Primary 7 classes on a fixed term temporary contract until June.

Victoria Primary School has served the village of Newhaven since 1844. The school plays an important part in the life of the community and is proud of their history and heritage. Today the school has a brand-new campus that allows the school to offer an exceptional learning experience.

Victoria Primary’s vision is for all the school community to be Enjoying Learning, Succeeding Together. It has strong community links which support with the delivery of an exciting and relevant curriculum. The school is non-denominational and co-educational, catering to a seven-year age range. The nursery, for 3-4 years olds and eligible 2s, currently has a roll of 88 children with a capacity for 120 children. We currently have 336 pupils in the school.

Salaries will be in accordance with the Scheme of Salaries and Conditions of Service for Teaching Staff in School Education.

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
