Receptionist – North Avenue Surgery, Cambuslang
North Avenue Surgery is looking for an enthusiastic, friendly, and hardworking individual to join our busy reception team. As the first point of contact for our patients, the successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our reception area, supporting both patients and clinical staff.
Our practice, located in Cambuslang, offers convenient free parking and is within easy reach of bus routes and the train station. We currently serve a patient population of around 11,000.
Key Responsibilities:
• Handling telephone calls and patient inquiries
• Processing prescription requests and administration
• Managing external communications
The Ideal Candidate:
• Possesses excellent communication skills
• Is confident, compassionate, and efficient
• Is able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Can prioritise tasks and manage a busy workload
• Can work independently and as part of a team
While previous experience in a general practice setting is desirable, it is not essential as full training will be provided. Experience in call handling or customer service, with transferable skills, would be an advantage.
Position Details:
• Full-time (37 hours per week), can be worked over 4 days
• Salary dependent on experience
• 5 weeks holiday, plus 10 public holidays
• SPPA Pension
