Summary

Job Overview:

Our Client is seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team in adult social care as a Home Care Assistant, providing essential support to people in need due to disability, illness, or frailty. Whether working in individuals' homes or within local communities, you will assist with daily living activities, offer emotional support, and contribute to the overall well-being of those in your care.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with personal care, including washing, dressing, and grooming.
• Prepare meals or assist clients with eating.
• Administer prescribed medication and monitor health conditions.
• Provide emotional support and offer companionship.
• Perform household tasks like cleaning, laundry, and shopping.
• Support clients with physical and mental well-being through various activities.
• Work collaboratively with other health and social care professionals.
• Record and report client progress and concerns.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum 6 months' experience as a carer.
• NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
• English B1 proficiency in speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
• A valid driving license is required.
• Excellent communication skills and customer service abilities.
• Patience, sensitivity, and a caring attitude.
• Ability to work under pressure and remain calm in challenging situations.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience working with older people.
• Knowledge of clinical assessment tools and care planning.
• Experience leading shifts or working in a hospital/healthcare setting is an advantage.
