Summary

Your primary role will be the Team Scrum Master, and in doing so will support the Chief Product Owner, Product Owner and Subject Matter Experts to deliver the vision and aspirations of the organisation. You will facilitate progress towards the sprint goals and wider Agile transformation backlog. You will foster an environment that enables learning and continuous improvement in support of the team, the community of Scrum Masters and Agile practitioners across the RN.
Working with Scrum of Scrum Masters , understand the strategic vision and be able to facilitate and Agile training within the organisation. You will identify and support cross-team impediment resolution with a lens to drive continuous improvement, promoting the impediment pathway in line with business change working in collaboration with Senior Leaders, delivery teams and stakeholders.
Move established and traditional organisation to a higher level of agility effectiveness through coaching aligned to strategic needs.
Help facilitate the development of an enduring Agile Centre of Excellence that leads the transformation of the Royal Navy to agile ways of working in accordance with its continuously improving operating model.
Ensure the up-skilling and training occurs for all Agile CofE staff and is supported and recorded across their employment. Keep up to date with all MOD and RN training.
Support new staff through the on-boarding process and mentor them through their induction period by acting as Civil Servant Coordinator.
Deliver the expansion of the RN Agility programme by working within a cross-functional team, liaising and communicating with transparency with other civil servants, military personnel and contractors acting in Scrum roles.
Ensure Agile tools (including JIRA) are used effectively to support prioritised workloads across multiple RN Directorates.
