About us
The RAF (Royal Air Forces) Association has a clear objective: to help sustain a resilient and empowered RAF community. Through our sector-leading welfare and wellbeing services, we offer a wide range of support to serving personnel, veterans and their families. With thousands of members and supporters across the UK and further afield, plus hundreds of dedicated employees and volunteers, we have the network and experience needed for a personal one-to-one approach. We work together to make sure no one is ever left behind.
About the role
The post holder is responsible for the planning and execution of supporter acquisition and stewardship activities, across our Membership, Legacy and In-memory offerings, to maximise the profile of the Association and contribute to the overall fundraising objectives to grow sustainable income. You will be delivering integrated supporter-centric acquisition campaigns, creating cost-effective leads, achieving successful conversion and maximising retention and satisfaction. Collaborating with stakeholders, agencies and suppliers you will design and deliver activity to generate income, grow the supporter base and retain existing supporters, increasing lifetime value (LTV). Working closely with internal departments, you will have the expertise to ensure supporter experience opportunities are maximised and managed in line with the overall Engagement plan.
About you
Ideally you will have proven track record in fundraising or marketing, and desirably hold a relevant degree in this area. An understanding of the charity sector would be desirable, though not essential. People skills are integral to this post as you will be working with a range of diverse stakeholders to deliver marketing activity to meet targets. You will ideally have a creative flair, with the ability to transform information into engaging communications across a variety of online and offline channels. Excellent project management skills are required to plan and execute a number of projects in parallel to meet budget and delivery deadlines. You must have the ability to understand audiences and impart information and key messages clearly, concisely and convincingly.
