One Leisure is looking to appoint an enthusiastic, experienced, and organised individual to the role of Business and Compliance Manager on a temporary 15-month basis.

The role will comprise two main areas of responsibility and focus. The primary purpose of the role is to ensure One Leisure is safe and compliant, operating within a complex industry, it is paramount that we do so safely.

Essential qualifications and knowledge of working within health and safety and compliance, particularly in a leisure centre environment are required. You will be responsible for organising, coordinating and in some cases delivering health and safety training to One Leisure staff. You will oversee statutory compliance and systems across all One Leisure Centres, working closely with the General Managers and Operation Manager teams.

It is an extremely exciting time to be part of HDC and One Leisure, there are several business transformation projects either happening or scheduled to happen over the next 12 to 18 months, such as the upgrading of the ICT POs system and building facilities strategy.

Working with General and Centre Managers, the Business and Compliance Manager will ensure the leisure centres remain compliant to all statutory health and safety legislation and the impact of any business changes that arise from these exciting workstreams, as well as ensuring the day-to-day system and procedures are implemented and managed during business as usual.

You will report to the Business and Operations Manager, while also working closely and sometimes on behalf of the Head of Leisure. Experience working within a senior team is advantageous. You will be expected to work according to the needs of the business, this includes some evenings and weekends.

A satisfactory DBS is required for this post.
