Summary
The post holder’s duties will be primarily at the Churchill and John Radcliffe Hospitals but it is a condition of the appointment that the post holder will be willing to work in any of the Trust’s locations. The Clinical Fellow will participate in all roles in the department and will be expected to gain sufficient experience to be appointable to a consultant cardiothoracic radiology post. The principal responsibility will be to provide clinical radiology services to the Churchill and John Radcliffe Hospitals Radiology Departments. The services provided will be predominantly related to cardiothoracic imaging and intervention.
Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust is a teaching hospital trust, with tertiary cardiology, cardiac surgery, respiratory and thoracic surgical services. The purpose of this post is to provide a broad training in Cardiothoracic radiology. The fellow will be expected to: i) work with the consultant and SpRs to fulfil the clinical obligations of the department, ii) participate in research projects, iii) participate in formal and informal teaching.

The fellow will join the day-time rota initially under the direct supervision of a consultant but will have a more autonomous role as he/she gains experience. Duties will include supporting multidisciplinary meetings, diagnostic imaging (plain films, US, CT, MRI), supporting the biopsy service
