Summary
Main Duties and Responsibilities Communicate evidence-based oral health advice to local families in settings across the community, using various methods and resources. This will include displays and arts-based activities. Work in schools to promote oral health, including providing evidence-based classroom activities, delivery of health events, information and advice for parents/carers and supporting school staff to incorporate oral health promotion into everyday practice. Assist in the delivery of Fluoride Varnishing Application Programmes. Contribute to developing high-quality innovative oral health promotion activities for use in schools and community settings, designed to meet specific oral health, general health and broader curriculum objectives. The dissemination of materials and resources to local communities Deliver oral health promotion to hard-to-reach and vulnerable groups across the community. Accompany and assist staff in undertaking home visits to parents and carers of children and adults with special needs as part of the Infant Preventative Dentistry Scheme and Adult Preventative Dentistry Scheme. Promote the oral health of older people and provide information and advice for carers and staff teams working with older people. Build links across the community with practitioners and local groups to promote oral health and develop joint working to improve the opportunities for oral health.
