Join our amazing and growing team at Bishop Auckland College Nursery. We have a new position available for a Casual Early Years Practitioner - SEN, to work in our fabulous nursery. Our nursery offers beautiful and spacious areas for you to help our children grow and learn in a fun environment. We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic person with a level 3 childcare qualification to join our wonderful nursery family.
The successful candidates will be required to possess level 3 certificate or diploma in children’s care, learning and development (Early Years) or level 3 NVQ childcare learning and education (Early Years); basic food hygiene (or be willing to work towards within 6 months); paediatric first aid certificate (or be willing to work towards within 6 months); FGM (or be willing to work towards in 6 weeks); and level 1 safeguarding (to be achieved within 6 weeks).
Applicants will also have experience of working with children with SEN in a variety of settings; experience of observation of child development; working alongside a SENCO within a setting, experience of planning child centred activities; and experience of planning next steps for children.
This role will include responsibilities within safeguarding and the postholders will be engaging in regulated activity.
