Description
We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Food Safety Officer to join our team. As a Food Safety Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our organization complies with all food safety regulations and standards. You will be responsible for conducting inspections, implementing food safety protocols, and providing training to employees. The successful candidate will have a strong background in food safety and a passion for maintaining the highest levels of quality and safety in the food industry.
Responsibilities
Conduct regular inspections of food processing facilities to ensure compliance with food safety regulations
Develop and implement food safety protocols and guidelines
Train employees on proper food handling and storage techniques
Investigate and resolve food safety violations and complaints
Monitor food safety trends and updates in regulations
Collaborate with internal teams to implement food safety initiatives
Handle and resolve customer inquiries and concerns regarding food safety
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in food science, nutrition, or a related field
Certification in food safety (e.g. HACCP, ServSafe)
Proven experience in food safety and quality assurance
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and practices
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to travel to different locations as needed
Hours Per Week: 36.00
Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:30
Pay: £31.78 per hour
