Summary

This is an exciting time to join the Directorate as we are looking for a Programme Scheduler with excellent communication skills and experience of working in a Portfolio, Programme & Project (P3M) environment.

This role requires the ability to react quickly and calmly to changing and exciting circumstances and think creatively to support the delivery of the programme!

The successful candidate will engage with key stakeholders across the organisation, fostering continuous improvement throughout the Programme. This post provides the opportunity to develop professional skills and experience, with future opportunities to promote and progress within a developing P3M profession for both the Army TLB and wider Defence.

Main responsibilities include:

Creating, updating and maintenance of programme plans and schedules.
Tracking delivery and reporting progress to programme governance boards.
Assurance and interrogation of lower-level schedules on behalf of the PMO.
Supporting the Senior Leadership team to make informed and timely decisions.

This post offers significant opportunity to be part of a critically important set of programmes, developing deeper understanding of Army capabilities and shaping their delivery. You will gain key programme experience and exposure to Army equipment and able to join wider activities including Battlefield Tours, professional communities of practice and visit opportunities to Army sites.

We will be looking to utilise a reserve list from this campaign. This means that high-calibre candidates will be contacted after the interview process to discuss similar opportunities in Army Programmes without the need to re-interview.

The Army Programmes Directorate is adopting a flexible approach to our workforce to ensure that project delivery priorities are met whilst maximising opportunities in support of skills development and wider career pathways. This means that successful candidates may be allocated flexibly across the Directorate aligning to priorities.

Remote working within this role is something that can be discussed at interview stages or with your future line manager if you are found successful.
