Summary
The Information Management Support role is accountable for conducting information management assurance activities that ensure compliance with MOD / Army KIM policy and UK Government legislation. It will provide KIM policy advice and guidance to Army KIM Professionals, conduct audit and compliance reviews, update official publications, and provide an effective upskilling service.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to influence the strategic direction of the Army, ensure information is properly secured, maintained, and exploited to the benefit of the organisation and deliver an improved assurance and compliance framework.
This role will provide opportunities to further develop core and functional skills with potential to work towards membership to the Chartered Institute of Library & Information Professionals (CILIP).
Key responsibilities of this post will include:
Provide advice and guidance on all aspects of Information and Record Management to the Army Information Professional community
Provide support to all iHubs across the Army managing Team Site activities in line with Army policy
Support all Army iHubs in management of Information Administration on Official and Secret
Deliver Knowledge and Information Management upskilling to all iHub staff across the wider Army. Implementing a train the trainer approach for sustainability
Develop quick reference guides (QRGs) and advise on the effective use of Office365 applications
Assure all Army SharePoint sites to ensure compliance with Army Policy
Responsible for the provision of all SharePoint sites and Groups and Teams for the wider Army
Development of Information Management skills, both in generic Knowledge and Information Management, and in specific applications and tools
