4-6 MONTHS FIXED TERM

ARC Receptionist - Administrator based in the Assessment and Rehabilitation Centre (ARC) St Marks Hospital Maidenhead.

Full time 37.5 hours/week Monday – Friday (Part-time/job share will be considered)

We look forward to welcoming an administrator/receptionist to our friendly team.

The Administration and Clerical team are the first point of contact for patients accessing our services and are valued staff members that are fundamental in supporting the clinical staff. 

If you are efficient in prioritising your own workload, working flexibly across roles, supporting others learning within a team and enjoy patient contact, and liaising with outside agencies, this role could be for you.

Other tasks will include but not limited to document management and dealing with incoming post and queries.  You will also have a responsibility for supporting the Clinicians with the organisation of their clinical and patient related activities.

The post will be based at St Marks Hospital, Maidenhead though some cross site working may be required.  There is free parking on all sites.

Please note - there may be potential for this post to become permanent following a service restructure.
• Tobe responsible formanaging the administrative tasks relating to theARC/Community rehab Service,assistingthe Team Leads and Operational Managerin theoverall smooth running of the service. This includes booking/cancelling appointmentswithin agreed wait times, responding to telephone calls, manning reception.

• Tobe responsible forthe receiving of patient referrals,scanningand inputting details onto thepatient record system –RiO-ina timelyandaccuratemanner.

• Tobe responsible fordealing with patients, the public, General Practitioner, or other Health Professionals enquiries about the progress of referrals and alwaysmaintaina helpful and professional approach.

• To be the first point of contact for welcoming patients attending theOutpatientDepartment. This includes allaying fears and anxieties that patients may have and organising on-going appointments.

• To bebased at theARC St Marks Hospital Maidenhead, but the post-holder will need tosupportacross all 3ofour sites (St Marks Hospital Maidenhead, Upton Hospital Slough,and Community Physiotherapy Bracknell) when cover for annual leave, sickness, and other service requirements may be needed.

• To communicate effectively both verbally and non-verbally.

The “must haves” for this role:

• Educated to ‘A’ level standard and with GCSEs in at least four subjects including English, Maths, or equivalent qualifications
• Excellent IT skills and in-depth knowledge of IT systems and databases i.e.Microsoft office,wordand Excel. Willingness to learnRiO
• Demonstrate skills in team working and collective decision making
