Summary

NATs are the UK's leading provider of air traffic control services, handling over 2.5 million flights and 250 million passengers travelling over the UK and across the North Atlantic. Mitie is responsible for managing facilities across the entire NATS estate, including two Air Traffic Management (ATM) Centres, the Corporate and Technical Centre, three office sites, 16 airports, and circa 140 remote sites nationwide via an employee base of 300 team members operating across multiple service lines.

Job OverviewYou will be responsible for developing the strategy that drives transformational change, supports internal colleague engagement and embeds an inclusive, high performance team culture.Additionally, this role will work closely with key external stakeholders, developing and executing a multi stream communication plans which delivers key messages that drive transformational change to generate exceptional Net Promoter Scores (NPS).You'll work closely with NATs and Mitie colleagues to drive employee engagement at NATs, reporting into the Group Head of Internal Communications at Mitie where you will be part of the wider Group communications Centre of Communication Excellence.

Main DutiesCreate, manage and develop an effective and engaging communications blueprint, that supports the Account to embed structured and compelling communication plans across all operational areasWork in partnership with Group Communications to ensure alignment of strategy, messages and brandWork in partnership with Group Marketing to develop and deliver a compelling communication strategy that highlights and promotes key Account activity to drive NPSWork in partnership with HR to develop robust communication plans that support and drive employee engagement including colleague listening Develop case studies and stories that showcase best practice and success, for sharing with Client, Contract and Group, as appropriateWork with key internal stakeholders across the senior leadership and operational teams for the Account to understand key communication challenges, including how we most effectively communicate with central, operational and front line teamsDevelop a fully integrated annual Communication Plan, with clear targets and timelines, aligned to business objectivesLiaise with Group Communications to ensure all central initiatives are communicated / promoted across the Account, as appropriateDesign, manage and coordinate a number of events on the account aligned to the Comms Plan to drive enlightenment and engagement Support the Senior Leadership Team in planning, coordinating and managing comms activitiesSupport the Account Director to sevelop an annual plan for Client engagement purposes inProactively engage with the activities of the client organisation to best promote Mitie's brilliant people and service deliveryDevelop collateral with the design team to enhance and transform how we engage with Mitie Team Members at all levels of the organisation both internally and into our client organisationManage digital communication platforms such as Yammer, Twitter and SharepointAs a key member of the contract team, role model behaviours to champion to Mitie culture

What we are looking forDemonstrable experience in a multi-site Communication roleA team player with excellent communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently within a matrix organisationExperience of leading and managing communication campaignsCreative & strategic communicatorExperience in HR/ Employee relations desirableKnowledge of Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and other creative software packages would be advantageousAdvanced use in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint
