Summary
Responsibilities:
• Play the designated musical instrument (e.g., piano, guitar, keyboard, drums, etc.) during church services, worship events, and other scheduled activities.
• Collaborate with the worship team, choir, and other musicians to enhance the musical quality of the worship experience.
• Attend regular rehearsals to practice and prepare for upcoming services and events.
• Familiarize yourself with the selected songs, arrangements, and any additional musical elements.
• Work closely with the Worship Leader and other members of the worship team to create a cohesive and engaging worship atmosphere.
• Provide musical support for vocalists and other musicians during rehearsals and performances.
• Adapt to different musical styles and genres, ensuring versatility in accompaniment to match the diverse worship experiences within the church.
• Be open to incorporating new songs and arrangements into the repertoire.
• Ensure that musical instruments and equipment are well-maintained and in good working condition.
• Coordinate with the church’s technical team to address any sound or equipment issues during rehearsals and services.
• Approach your role with a heart of worship, understanding the significance of music in facilitating a deeper connection with God during church services.
• Participate in spiritual and devotional activities within the worship team.
• Stay committed to personal growth and musical development by attending workshops, training sessions, and seeking opportunities to enhance your skills.
• Encourage and support the musical growth of others within the worship team.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Proficiency in playing one or more musical instruments relevant to the worship setting.
• Experience in playing for church services, worship events, or similar settings.
• Strong musical ear and ability to learn and adapt to various genres.
• Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A commitment to the spiritual vision and values of the church.
Salary & Working Hours:
• Guaranteed salary for Religious Worker: £26,500pa
• Basic Working Hours is 35 hours per week
