Summary

A client within the Public Sector based in Derbyshire is currently recruiting for a Facilities Manager to join their team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within a managing environment.

The Role

Key purpose of the role is to lead, manage and provide a responsive and efficient council wide facilities management support service, to all council owned and occupied property, non-statutory and general administrative/building functions required to ensure the safe occupation and use of council premises, which ensures the effective delivery and smooth running of all council services.

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • assess the support needs and requirements of the designated area of Facilities Management and continually review the support resource and framework model within that area to maximise the operational benefit of the service delivered.
  • manage, motivate and develop the centralised Facilities Management officer resources through training, mentoring and coaching to facilitate a flexible, responsive and well-skilled workforce that delivers collaboratively.
  • provide effective leadership of the designated area of Facilities Management including staff resource, contracts and operational budgets to deliver significant on-going efficiencies and evidence value for money in line with Financial Regulations.
  • prepare then monitor and manage the division's multiple budgets.

The Candidate

To be considered for this role you will require to be educated to degree level in a relevant subject and have an ILM level 5 in supervisory management or equivalent BIFM level 5 qualification.

The below qualifications would be beneficial for the role:

  • Minimum of five years management experience within a FM management role
  • CBIFM (Certified Member - British Institute of Facilities Management)
  • NEBOSH General Certificate
  • Full UK Driving Licence.

The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £27.96 per hour Umbrella LTD Inside IR35.
