Summary
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a highly experienced senior resuscitation officer to join our teamto work across a dynamic organisation and place partners. The role will ensure robustresuscitation governance and clinical oversight including our controls and mechanisms are in place and effective and safe for those in receipt of our services. The position offers a great opportunity for a resuscitation officer to drive forward quality improvement in the delivery of resuscitation practice and guidance. This will be supported by Resuscitation UK as required to ensure we are compliant with the resuscitation council and other national guidance.
The post holder will work alongside our learning and development team who will deliver resuscitation training to our colleagues. Both teams will look to implement clinical simulations across our clinical teams.
The role requires a leader who is innovative and personally motivated to improve this quality and safety agenda. Who will have high influencing and negotiating skills to engage local teams in this plan.
The post holder will:
• Working with the matrons/ward leaders to complete and maintain a local resuscitation protocol for each patient area.
• Establish a Resuscitation Operational Group.
• Review all medical emergency incidents, providing a report on numbers, conditions, and recommendations at each Resuscitation Operational Groups.
• Alongside learning and development undertake clinical simulations in each inpatient area every 6 months (repeating as required, if any area does not achieve the required standard)
• Reviewing the daily check on Tendable and/or other local audits for the previous day/s and following up any that show as non-complaint.
• Undertake a physical equipment audit of all grab bags and relevant documentation on a quarterly basis.
• Oversee clinical emergency consumable replacement process which will be held at a local level.
