Summary
Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust are seeking a Medical Education Coordinator to join our busy medical education team. You will be responbile for providing high quality and comprehensive administrative support in particular the management of our doctors databse system.
You will work closely with regional colleagues both at Trusts and Health Education England, doctors in training, and consultants to ensure that high quality training and educational needs are met.
This is a varied and interesting role, with high levels of responsibility. You must be able to use initiative to work without direct supervision display excellent communication skills, and have the ability to work to tight deadlines and have a high level of attention to detail.
Duties may include but are not limited to:
• Management of database of doctors
• Assisting the implementation and ongoing updates of moving doctors onto allocate roster
• Responsible for maintaining and updating comprehensive database of all doctors employed
• Details will include rotations, dates of employment, Out of Programme dates and supervisor details
• Working closely with colleagues (internal and external – community and NHSE) to ensure doctors details and posts are correct
• Responsible for reviewing TIS and liaising with NHSE regarding any updates as required
• Utilising external data systems, i.e. TIS (Trainee Information System) and Oriel (UK wide portal for recruitment to postgraduate medical dental, public health, healthcare science and foundation training)
• Arrange meetings and development and circulation of materials such as agenda, programmes, minutes and action trackers to an excellent standard.
• Undertake general administrative duties including managing complex databases, spreadsheets and other documents.
• To update and support self-registration for both trainees and educators on the virtual learning platform (Bridge/Panopto/Horus).
• Collate and prepare information, documentation and correspondence for a range of medical audiences.
• Administration support for the MSE Senior Medical Education Manager including note taking and project work.
