We have an opportunity within the DSA contract team to join us as the Supplier Manager, in this role you will be responsible for developing strong and effective relationships with our supplier chain partners developing a clear focus on performance management and focussing on service evolution/improvement and revenue growth.
This is a varied role with lots of scope to define the supplier strategy, negotiating beneficial contracts and driving success within the business. We are looking for someone with a proven track record in supplier management ideally having worked in a variety of industries as this is a varied contract, we would also like someone who has strong stakeholder engagement skills.
This role is primarily home based however there is some expected travel to client sites on an ad hoc basis (fully expensed)
What you'll be doing:
• Represent Capita's strategic direction outwards to our supply chain partners and represent the client's perspective/requirements to internal Capita teams/stakeholders and subcontractors
• Act as the day-to-day contact and escalation point for supply chain partner performance, issues management and conflict resolution
• Proactively manage relationship and engagement activity with supply chain partners, embedding trust-based relationships to influence the right behaviours across organisations. Maintain deep knowledge of the supply chain partners wider business performance and market trends
• Embed a governance structure across DSA supply chain partners with a RACI of roles, responsibilities, agenda, and meeting cadence that encourages the right level of engagement to support delivery
• Lead focused governance e.g. Deep Dives, Monthly/Quarterly Business and Performance Reviews, developing deep insight into supply chain partner performance, motivations and ambitions to ensure high quality standards & continuous improvement across the supply chain
• Proactively review progress against contractual deliverables, managing risks, identifying potential issues early and intervening to prevent, reduce or remediate their impact
• Support the production/ratification of Monthly Performance Dashboards & client reporting literature/collateral to support holistic reporting of the end-to-end service delivery
What we're looking for:
• You will be a proactive and self-sufficient leader, committed to setting clear direction, embracing excellent communication, swift and data-driven decision making underpinned by values-based leadership
• Experience and excellent track record as a Supply Chain Relationship Manager or within Customer Relationship management, demonstrating strong commercial acumen
• Ability to identify, maintain and manage strategic suppliers with constructive relationships
• Solutions focused, an innovator led by cost and value analysis with a drive to meet targets as set out in our Business Plan
• Ability to proactively monitor and raise potential supplier risks
• Ability to independently identify and design KPIs to track and measure supply chain partner delivery and improve performance
• Proven experience in analysing trends across delivery, providing guidance to capture maximum value from the relationship
