This job is an unmissable opportunity to join a vibrant team at the heart of Workforce, Training and Education South West to support, monitor and provide assurance on the effective delivery of the regional business plan. You will be working with key stakeholders and members of the senior programme management team across the region to ensure the Workforce Long Term Plan objectives are achieved.

This role will be an integral part of the NHSE Southwest Workforce Programmes Team, working in support of a number of programmes of work as required. Working within the team the role will provide support to a number of colleagues to ensure successful delivery of high priority work programmes.



We are seeking a person with innovative ideas, excellent planning and organisational skills and a keen interest in problem solving.



Key Responsibilities include:

• Coordinating and supporting a variety of projects and initiatives

• Responsibility for supporting the establishment, development and management of a variety of NHSE WTE Southwest programmes.

• Managing training activity as required.

• Attending national and local meetings as a representative of NHSE WTE (Southwest)

• Ensuring regular communication with all stakeholders

• The role requires a high level of commitment with effective time management and also involves working to tight deadlines.

• The post holder will work closely with colleagues and stakeholders from within NHSE, other national organisations and also local organisations the job description and person specification may be reviewed on an ongoing basis in accordance with the changing needs of the Department and the Organisation.

Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend, on average, at least 40% of their time working in-person.
Essential Criteria
• Educated to degree level in relevant subject or equivalent level qualification or significant experience of working at a similar level in specialist
• Significant experience of successfully operating in a politically sensitive environment
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office with intermediate keyboard skills
• Demonstrated experience of co-ordinating projects in complex and challenging environments
• Experience of managing risks and reporting
• Experience of monitoring budgets and business planningprocesses
• Experience of setting up and implementing internal processes and procedures.
• Experience of drafting briefing papers and correspondence
• Positive and flexible approach to work.
• Effective team working.
• An ability to maintain confidentiality and trust.
• Professional, calm and efficient manner.
• Excellent customer service skills.
