In this role you'll manage a variety of new and existing family caseloads end-to-end and take a client-focussed approach to achieving targets. We'll look to you to use your technical knowledge to provide the best outcomes for your clients, as well as supporting and mentoring our more junior colleagues to support their professional development. As a fast-growing business, we're committed to supporting you to help shape our future. If you have the technical skills and experience we're looking for, we can offer you the opportunity to progress your career in an ethical legal business.
What you'll do
- Provide legal advice to clients over the phone and via other written communications channels
- Progress a mixed caseload of family matters, undertaking active negotiation and mediation
- Make sure our various targets are met
- Support the team in progressing more complex cases as needed
- Draft and audit legal documents and correspondence
- Continuously develop your legal knowledge and awareness in all areas of family law
This role would suit people who have
- A legal qualification and a background in family law
- Solid technical knowledge of divorce, separation, financial settlements, cohabitation, and children law
- Experience using a case management system
- Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with partners of all levels of seniority
- Good attention to detail and a strong customer focus
Why Co-op?
As a Co-op colleague, we can offer you a competitive salary and great benefits package which includes 30% off Co-op branded products in our food stores (as well as other discounts on Co-op products and services). You'll also get:
- An annual bonus (based on personal and business performance)
- 28 days holiday (rising to 32 with service) plus bank holidays
- A pension with up to 10% employer contributions
- Access to a subsidised onsite gym (at our Manchester HQ)
- Free weekday access to the Aztec Hotel leisure facilities in Bristol
- Coaching and training to support your career development
- Wagestream - a money management app that gives you access to a percentage of your pay as you earn it
- YuLife - an app that rewards you for exercising with discounts and vouchers for your favourite brands
