Summary
This is a Reserved post requiring Developed Vetting clearance to enable STRAP access and is open to UK Nationals only due to the nature and classification of the data. The role of HEO Army Deputy Corporate STRAPSO works to the SEO Army Corporate STRAPSO offering specialist advice and support to Army TLB personnel, formations, units, locations and projects to support and enable access to STRAP material.
We are looking for a talented and motivated individual who is a team player, but is equally comfortable working on their own, to assure the integrity of STRAP material and facilities across the Army, circa 40 locations, both in permanent locations and on exercise to provide assurance to that robust security measures are effective at protecting such material. Daily tasks require the management of competing work streams of varying priorities and delivering advice to a wide rank range of staff (from Junior NCO to Senior Officer) whilst under time pressure.
The successful candidate must be comfortable engaging with wider Defence, government, and industry on all areas of STRAP Management, have a firm understanding of a range of Security Policy’s such as vetting, nationality rules and physical security. Maintaining close liaison with and building strong professional relationships with key internal stakeholders including unit STRAPSOs and the MOD Corporate STRAPSO team. Attendance and participation at meetings, presentations, conferences exercises across the UK, and potentially overseas, will be required from time to time, including occasional overnight stays.
