Summary

BI Analyst Developer, hybrid / home based, this role is key in our centralised Data and Analytics team, spanning multiple businesses within William Jackson Food Group. This role will support driving forward a more unified approach and providing great business data, analytics, and reporting.

You will need to be a keen learner, wanting to develop your career in data and analytics, be able to work as part of a team and be able to work in a fast-paced environment where you may need to react to changing requirements quickly. The role will work closely with our Business Analysts, to ensure deliverables are clearly defined, prioritised and value driven.

BI Analyst / Developer role Responsibilities & Accountabilities

You will have plenty of opportunity to utilise and advance your skills on a variety of base technologies and platforms. You will be designing and developing dashboards and analytics for various businesses and teams around the group, as well as contributing to other areas of our data landscape. In addition to reporting, the team is responsible for several areas of data engineering and database development, including integration development with our ERP systems, providing end-to-end solutions with Power Apps and/or web apps, and general database administration.

BI Analyst / Developer skills and experience

You will have an understanding and experience of relational databases (SQL Server/T-SQL), schemas and relationships across multiple data sources, along with experience of creating measures using DAX and visuals to produce interactive and analytical reports to give insights to users via PowerBI.

It will be advantageous to have recent experience with ERP systems, especially Dynamics 365 F&O, along with cloud-based solutions, especially MS Azure, and ideally MS Synapse or data lake experience. Being able to understand the fast paced FMCG environment, ideally from a food manufacturing perspective, showing an appreciation of needing to react to changing requirements quickly. Being a keen learner, wanting to develop your career in data and analytics, whilst working as part of a team to ensure deliverables are clearly defined, prioritised and value driven.

As a BI Analyst / Developer you will be based within commutable distance to one of our business sites around the country, however we are open to all applications and will look at the role being either office based, home based or hybrid for the right candidate.
