More detail about the role The Senior Business Intelligence Developer will work on data development and configuration within the Cogito team. The post holders prime responsibility will be to deliver the data tools to meet the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trusts performance and national information reporting requirements. It is an exacting role to ensure that the data fields in Epic translate to the relevant local and national requirements. The post holder will undertake training to learn complex Epic skills and will support the re-architecture, the extraction, transfer and load of data from Epics data warehouse into required national reporting requirements, local performance and contracting information This role will utilise the post-holders sound data and information system knowledge combined with excellent analytical skills. We are seeking applicants who possess excellent IT skills, have a thirst for learning something new and have a genuine interest in achieving improved patient pathways through the implementation of the Epic EPR system. Epic training and certification in the data and reporting area is essential to this role. Principal Duties Develop the data tools to meet the Trusts key reporting requirements Make a significant contribution to the design and development of the Epic BI environment Be an Epic EPR subject matter expert for assigned elements of the integrated reporting warehouse (Caboodle, Clarity, Radar, Slicer Dicer and the Reporting Workbench) Ensure the transition of using Epic to drive scheduled reports and national returns are produced accurately Please note that the Cogito team works across two sites, County Hall, Exeter and North Devon District Hospital, Barnstaple. This post could be based in either location. Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week.
