We have a fantastic opportunity for a self directed, innovative and driven Pharmacy Technician to join our Supply services team as Pharmacy Technician Team Manager Dispensaries.
Within supply services there are two dispensaries across two sites. Our inpatient Pharmacy, based on our Southampton General Hospital site consists of approximately 32 Pharmacy Support workers and Pharmacy Technicians. The team are responsible for processing discharge medication for all of our inpatients as well as providing an inpatient medication supply of non-stock medicines. Our second site, the Royal South Hants Hospital is situated in the centre of Southampton, the pharmacy team here are largely responsible for providing mental health services on behalf of a local trust as well as providing outpatient services to a range of UHS services. The team at the RSH consists of approximately 23 staff.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the provision of an effective and efficient Pharmacy dispensary service across both sites, ensuring that professional and legal requirements around the supply of medicines are met and maintained.
The postholder will work at bringing the two services together, to standardise training of staff and introduce and maintain standard processes across the commonalities of both services.
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:
Experience of prioritising and balancing service delivery in line with clinical need, services capacity,
and resource.
Considerable experience of managing a dispensary service including budgetary management
Experience of project management or service improvement.
Adaptability, excellent personal skills and taking initiative
You must be a registered Pharmacy Technician with the GPhC, have an NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) in pharmaceutical science, and managerial qualification at intermediate management level.
