  • We’re offering a salary of £49,480 for this role

What you'll do

As an Investment Support Manager, you’ll be managing the operational and control environment within our Investment business, making sure that all operational and governance processes are executed effectively for your team. You’ll also be providing valuable support to senior colleagues with strategy, project delivery, business support, revenue planning and forecasting across the department.

You’ll be making sure complex client complaints are dealt with in line with procedures and result in a resolution that sits within the Treating Customers Fairly framework and our principles. You’ll also be producing, monitoring and communicating MI that supports key deliverables, as well as monitoring and managing costs across your team.

Your role will also involve:

  • Effectively managing and monitoring service failures and losses, making sure that root causes and trends are identified and repeat issues are kept to a minimum
  • Overseeing and undertaking projects to develop strategies for business growth
  • Complying with relevant bank-wide policies, and testing, certifying, considering and escalating the adequacy and effectiveness of the business' controls on a regular basis
  • Creating and maintaining operating procedures, including relevant controls to meet the bank's and local policy requirements
  • Owning and managing the risks within a defined risk appetite

The skills you'll need

To join us in this role, you’ll need a strong track record of investment and operational experience including leading and influencing in an operational wealth environment.

You'll also have the ability to multi-task, evidencing strong prioritisation skills, and the flexibility to adapt to quickly shifting priorities and changes. In addition, you'll need strong stakeholder management skills to work with business partners and customers across the bank.

We’ll also look for:

  • High levels of knowledge and understanding of investment services
  • Knowledge of funds and securities matching and settlement, Treasury operations, or cash and stock reconciliations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to support and engage with a variety of colleagues and stakeholders
  • Excellent decision making skills and the ability to influence successful outcomes and engage the team
  • Proven line management and team leadership skills
